Good sleep is essential for many reasons. The main reason being that it has many health effects on one’s body. The mind needs a proper rest so that it can work properly. There are many companies that pride themselves in providing the excellent mattress in Dubai. A good mattress equals a good sleep that indirectly affects the health.

Mattress is the material or a pad that is used for the reclining bodies. They can be used as a bed or can be laid down on the bed. In ancient times, the mattresses contained straw, feathers or horse hair. The word mattress is originated from the Arabic word Matrah that means something that is thrown down. The materials of mattress have changed since old times. In the early 20th century, the cotton was being used instead of straws and other materials. Modern mattresses may include:

  • Latex
  • Viscoelastic
  • Polyurethane foams

Springs are used to storing the mechanical energy. They are made up of steel that is coiled. Latex is made of many monomers and it is a polymer. Natural latex can be found everywhere but still there are ways to produce synthetic latex. The viscoelastic material has both properties of elasticity and viscosity. A foam is produced by trapping pockets of gas or liquid.

 

Effect of Good Mattress on Health

Many people do not know the fact that a good mattress promises a good health. Many of the diseases are due to the reason that people do not have enough sleep or restless sleep. Good sleep is the cure of many diseases. Sleep is the main contributor to good health along with diet and exercise. People who have poor quality sleep usually go into depression or they have heart or blood pressure diseases. We spend one-third of our lives sleeping so it is understandable that a mattress contributes to a good night’s sleep. Mattress should be comfortable but it should also be strong or hard enough that one would not develop back problems. The average length of the mattress should be 15cm more or less.

Most people do not test the material before buying. They end up buying a mattress that is either too soft or too hard. Both types of mattresses will have a dangerous effect on health. Also, your sleep position is important when buying a mattress.

Firm mattresses are best for the people that sleep on their backs or on the stomach. Plush types are good because the help soothes the body. Soft mattresses are the people who side sleepers. The base difference also affects the performance of the mattress.

Before doing any other work, we prepare ourselves but we do not prepare or have appropriate things when it comes to sleep. A new mattress that is compatible with your body can also help in reducing the stress. This fact has been proved by many types of research that are done on human subjects.

If you do not get a sound sleep on your mattress and toss and turn the whole night, you should change the mattress. Also, if you are allergic to dust mites that are living in your mattress, you should buy a new one.
